At Veneno Technologies, we are transforming Japan-originated science into globally relevant value through DRPs, a class of functional peptides. DRPs are mid-sized molecules that are smaller than proteins yet capable of acting on biological interactions that are often difficult for small molecules to reach, making them a promising modality for the precise design of targeted functions. Our mission is not merely to present research outcomes, but to turn innovation into practical value that can be used in the real world and accumulated as measurable results.
To achieve this, we advance with speed and reproducibility by refining not only our technologies, but also our intellectual property, quality systems, supply capabilities, and partnerships as an integrated whole. Beyond pharmaceuticals, Veneno’s challenge is to scale the value of DRPs globally across One Health markets spanning agriculture, animal health, and materials.
Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersections between public and private sectors, academia and industry, as well as Japan and the global arena, turning ideas into real-world implementation through industrial policy at the Ibaraki Prefectural Government, the commercialization of advanced technologies at CYBERDYNE, the launch of an innovation hub at Takeda Pharmaceutical, external partnerships and policy engagement at Novartis Pharma, and new business development at CMIC Holdings. I now bring all that experience to Veneno as we take on the world with DRPs as our strategic asset.

Veneno Suite: A Japan-Originated DRP Platform
Veneno Suite, our core technology platform, is a Japan-originated technology asset built on research findings from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). It is a specialized DRP platform developed from research into disulfide-rich peptides (DRPs) found in the venoms of spiders, scorpions, snakes, and other organisms.
From the Laboratory to Global Impact
DRPs are functional peptides found in virtually all forms of life, from microorganisms and plants to animals and humans. Their complex three-dimensional structures, defined by three or more intramolecular disulfide bonds, have historically made artificial synthesis extremely difficult. As a result, research has largely remained confined to academia, and commercialization has seen only limited progress. Through the strong partnership between me as the founding scientist and our President and CEO, Mr. Kuno, we are determined to change that through the Veneno Suite. By accelerating the commercialization of DRPs, we aim to build a world-leading platform that can create impact on a global scale.
